I own many Logitech products and have over the years, and I’ve always been satisfied with their quality. I had purchased a QuickCam Communicate MP for a remote Dog monitor system I setup at home, so I could watch my dogs from work, and interact with them remotely when they got out of line. I was quite impressed with that camera, and I had been thinking about doing some online instructional videos, so I started looking for more advanced cams. This one seemed to stand out in reviews, and I eventually purchased it. Couldn’t be happier. At all resolutions it’s crisp, smooth and even without the light enhancement running in the software, it does very well in low light. With light enhancement turned on, your frame rates drop but it does extremely well in dark locations. The mount is sort of weird, but seems to work fine, and the camera is actually quite aesthetic so it’s easy on the eyes when not in use.
the camera takes nice still shots, comparable to my old 2MP digital camera, but I didn’t really buy it for that purpose. The video quality is very nice. Too bad it doesn’t do wide 16:9 video, but rather it only does 4:3, so the high definition they speak of isn’t going to be a true 720 resolution other than the fact that the vertical pixel count is indeed 720. All in all, it’s the nicest webcam I’ve ever used. The included software works great, although it will only allow you to record about 3 minutes of video, which I find to be strange. It seems to cater to those that want to stream. I’ve been using VLC player with it, and you can stream to windows media or to other VLC players with no problem with it.
All in all, great camera, worth the price… if you can find it cheaper than retail (and you should be able to) it’s worth the money, that is, if you want/need a really good webcam.

After ready all the reviews and watching all the video reviews, I thought this camera would be a very good one. Well, I’ve been using it for a couple days now and I am disappointed. I thought the quality of the camera would be much better. That’s not what I’m really unhappy with though, I am quite unhappy with the auto focus feature. I have been video chatting on Skype, OOVOO, and tinychat. Multiple times already this has happened… I see myself get very very blurry. My friends have said that my webcam “sucks”. I do not believe them, I think that this webcam is very decent but there are minor problems. My computer has been having problems so I put some on the blame on the computer. There are good features on this webcam though. Logitech gives you a generous amount of USB cable, I thought it was going to be short so I bought a 9ft USB extension cable. Next, the Software that comes with the camera is also very good and easy to use. And Finally, the sound quality from the built in microphone is clear and crisp. Well, this is it, now remember, I’ve only had this webcam for a few days, I will write an updated review in maybe a month or so. Also, I will add that after installing this webcam on top of my monitor it looks so of weird but ill have to get used to it. It seems like it is obstructing my view but its not… hmm.. weird.
Pros :
% Works pretty well in low light situations.
% Logitech provides a generous amount of USB cable.
% Microphone is amazingly crisp and clear.
% Amazon Frustration Free Packaging.
% Software is very easy to install, one and done.
% Looks Sleek and Stylish.
Cons :
% Autofocus doesn’t work well for me.
% Video streaming/broadcasting quality is average.
% Picture quality is not crisp.
Well, thats all for now, please leave me comments/opinions but try not to be too hurtful.

Overall, I am very pleased with this webcam. Controls are easy to figure out, it has a few special features without involving too many that most people will never use. The BIG positive for me on it, though, was the easy set up. I am somewhat computer savvy, but I still often have difficulty installing new peripherals, and this was a snap. Light and color balance has worked well so far on everything I have used this camera for. Now, if a 4 1/2 star rating was available, I might have given it that rather than the 5 stars, for two fairly minor, but recognizable reasons: it does not seem to be capable of doing closeup very well, and it does not attach very well to the computer. In both cases, obviously, these may or may not be important to some buyers. Personally, I sometimes have something fairly small to show someone, and close focus is needed. Also, I use a laptop for everything, and move it from room to room, meaning a better attachment to the computer screen would be a help. If you never move (or even bump) your computer, the attachment should be a non issue. I am probably going to use a spot of velcro on mine for a more secure attachment. I can’t say enough good about the easy setup, though. I have spent upwards of a day trying to figure out some software and hardware pieces in the past. This thing took about 10 minutes, and most of that was for the disk to load!
Opinion –
I got a cheap used Cam with very good condition. Personally, I think it is a steal at the price around or below $25.
I bought it because i needed a mic for Windows 10 Cortana, Google voice search, and video chatting.
Video quality is good on Messenger chat. The mic picks up voice fine, although i get complaints about the low volume. I am not sure if it is because the camera is too far away.
Cortana works fine, but if I speak softly, it won’t listen to me. If I speak with a conversational volume, it will pick up my words.
Google voice search never fails me. It is fast and convenient.
In summary, it is a great Cam with decent video quality and OK mic.
