Cisco DPC3010 Product Details
Welcome to the exciting world of high-speed Internet access! You’ve acquired one of the best modems available on the market today. Your new Cisco DPC3010 Cable Modem offers superior performance and reliability at data rates up to 8x that of conventional DOCSIS 2.0 cable modems.
Reliable Digital Broadband Service with Cisco DPC3010
The DPC3010 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem provides DOCSIS broadband service. As a result, it provides a cost-effective solution for delivering high-speed, reliable service.
The DPC3010 provides a faster connection to the Internet, by putting eight bonded downstream channels and four bonded upstream channels. These bonded channels deliver downstream data rates in excess of 320 Mbps and upstream data rates up to 120 Mbps. It’s up to eight times faster than older single-channel DOCSIS 2.0 cable modems.
Please note that this product is a modem only, and does not have built-in WiFi. If wireless is needed for your setup, a WiFi router can be purchased separately.
Tested to Work
All our CISCO DPC3010 cable modems are tested to be 100% working before they are shipped. We test for symptoms of failure or defects such as power issues and random resets. We check all physical ports and do a bandwidth test.

I bought this modem to solve the problem of my constantly dropping internet signal, and it did just that. with my ISP-supplied checks on speed sites would many times go up to 18 or even 20 Mbps but the results were very inconsistent. This modem is very consistent but the top speed is always in the 16 Mbps range, never above. I’ll take that trade-off since I don’t have to reset this modem like the original one. i was resetting my connection once or twice a day, with this modem it goes for weeks without needing attention. Highly recommended. The price was good, shipping fast and it worked out of the box. Couldn’t ask for more. I would give it five stars if it also went up to the same speeds as shown by the original modem. I do notice that normal/average throughput is higher with this modem so absolute speeds are not a deal killer.

I bought this modem used for 17.95 in June. I was using the Motorola Surfboard sb5101u docsis 2.0 modem and needed an upgraded to a docsis 3.0 modem for my upgraded internet speed. I have Cox and a Cox Technical Support Representative had to send me to someone else that was “a higher level.” It took about half an hour all said and done. This modem has worked very well although sometimes it tends to overheat and causes lag when I am on Xbox Live. This is only when there is someone movie streaming while another person is watching YouTube while you’re playing online. I do have a high internet package to handle these tasks without lag, so that is not the problem. A reset helps the internet connection problem and cools down the modem a bit. On normal bandwidth usage days, the modem is warm. For a 18 dollar used modem, it is still going strong. Download speeds and upload speeds have skyrocketed. I would recommend this modem for streaming movies, web browsing, and other tasks.
