Bendy (Ben and Randy) –
Compatible with Buckeye Cable (Northwest / Central Ohio), works well and they were able to set it up with zero issues.
Saves me $5/month (soon to be $8/month) because I have my own device. Well worth it!
Easy E –
Needed to stop paying fees to my cable company. Solid Cable Modem that did the trick
Edward H –
Modem arrived in good shape despite the damaged packing box. Modem was functional but unfortunately this model cannot be fully provisioned on Comcast in PA – Got the Internet working no problem, it’s the EMTA (phone) side that could not provision, plus their system rejected when trying to add to account.
SC –
Has been reliable and has not had any major issues. Sometimes things slow down on my network but that mainly seems to be due to my ISP and not the modem itself. I am using this with buckeye broadband. Not sure what else it works for.
virgilio Tovar –
Excellent. Worked without a hitch. It was all very easy to set up and cable co (Optimum) activate it over the phone.
Kim Hyun Suk –
Works Fine with OPTIMUM internet
David –
I purchased two of these, one for me and one for my mom because I’m tired of my cable company nickel and diming me. I’m saving a combined 10 dollars a month by purchasing these modems which will pay for themselves in 8 months. Very happy with these purchases. ????
Hasan –
Never realized that I have an option to own it and save some money instead of paying monthly rent to Optimum forever!
Steven –
Worked great. Took less than 5 minutes to install.
John –
Replaced my Optimum/Cablevision Modem with this and it works fine. First I called Optimum to register it but as my phone is through cable, I lost the guy helping me once I unplugged the old one (duh! -but he told me to unplug it!) You can also register it online, which it what I did, rather than call him back. My phone works with it as well since it has “telephony.” No rental fees for me but it will take a while for it to pay for itself, as it was over about a hundred dollars and I think the rental was five dollars per month.
Rich B –
Defective Item seller refunded
Profoto –
Works fine with Optimum in NJ. Set up was easy and a call with Optimum service rep was all that was needed to be up and running.
Brian –
Works with cablevision
Tazman –
works like a charm, I hooked it up to my Cableivision Coax and with their easy setup it was a breeze.
joe natale –
Replaced the cable co provided modem which i returned for a $10/Monthly discount. Not bad Invest $30. once and save $10 every month that I have cable it pays for itself over and over,
James manning –
so far so good.. works with optimum cable (long island) just have to call cable and give them a few numbers off the new modem for them to register and send old one back by mail or drop off ..saves about $70 yrly off over inflated monopoly cable bill
warren Heller –
Up and running fine.
anthony russell –
poor purchase as this can not be used with my Comcast cable
acoustic85 –
This modem worked perfectly with Optimum Online 100mb/s internet in NJ. The modem’s number just needs to be registered to your account by the technician or you can probably do it online.
Nsheeheed –
Works perfectly.
Chip T. –
Perfect replacement for Cablevision / Optimum customers with broadband speeds below 300 Mbps (which is most people)
Bernard Randall –
Fully Comcast comparable… Running like a champ with speeds of 270/14.
L.I. Mom –
No problem hooking up to Optimum on Long Island. 15 minutes on the phone with cable customer service and the CMAC # and I was all set. Make sure you call cable company from your cell phone.
Thomas Lindsay –
This modem was not needed. Cable vision switched to Altice. Had to return it unused. I gave it four stars for fast delivery and refund on return.
Nevermindme –
Product arrived quick, in good condition and well cleaned from wherever it’s previous deployment was. Powered on nicely and has been running like new for roughly two months. As a nice bonus, it’s smaller than my original TM822 from Optimum. It got a little too warm for comfort when placed in a somewhat confined space but that was easily remedied by letting it breathe a bit. A great buy that saves on the internet bill 🙂
FrancescoD4 –
Was working only at low download speed and constantly dropping connection with my optimum. Switched back to old one and the connection was back to normal. Returned.
Prince Micah –
Fast delivery but I don’t like the item BAD!!!
ddsngoi –
A+++
Customer –
Great company, the modem came on time with fast delivery and it worked. I am a very happy customer.
engineeringbookbuyer –
It made my internet faster.
Gary Ingy –
Does not have battery backup.
Julio D. Bravo –
I bought this to replace the TM822G that the cable company was charging me a monthly fee for. The difference is that the tm822g has a backup battery, which you have to buy separately and I never had. So this one works fine without it, so far. Did not notice any change in internet service or gaming speed. Had to call the cable company to register it and then it started working. So far so good and I save on a monthly fee. So if you need a modem with a land line you have to buy it online because the cable company doesn’t allow the the local electronic stores in my area to sell them.
Temus M. –
Easy to install. Refurbished but is working well so far. Hope to recover my investment in five months.
Hseu –
Nice, easy setup and work great. No issues. Saved $10 from Optimum each month.
Flathead Fan –
Compelled to write after installing this modem and experiencing much improved download and upload speeds. Talking 3x download and 7x upload. Other reviewers are correct in stating that there is no included documentation, but just review the install as outlined on optimum’s site. I did not rate tech support as I had no need.
Customer –
Very stable. I have it on UPS and it has NOT been reset in 4+ months since I activated it! Delivers 90-100 Mbps and one land line. It has an additional land line jack, but I don’t use it. Land line voice quality is very good, with no hum pickup or digital noise.
I have it feeding into a a/c band wifi router and a gigabit wired switch that runs to all rooms in the house. The entire system runs without any baby sitting. Provider is Mediacom for those wondering about compatibility. (There was one service outage because a car rammed into the distribution box in the neighborhood, but the modem reconnected on its own — I mention this because many know brand names need a manual reset).
Customer –
Product availability and compability.
Robert S. –
Excellent purchase, product works like new!
virginia –
The modem is way smaller than the one from Optimum. Also, it didn’t connect to internet. Disappointed.
Vale –
Great support. First one didn’t work very well but the second replacement one they sent is great.
paul o. –
Unfortunately after one day it stopped working! I have to send it back.
