I wanted to save money from the rental fees I was getting from TWC and needed a Gateway modem for Internet and Wireless. I never bought one before and i did not know how the activation was going to be as i am not a tecky person at all. The seller was so helpful telling me what to do and write down from the back of the modem to have ready for the TWC people over the phone. Disconnecting the TWC ARRIS modem and hooking up mine was so easy!! I have had this modem/gateway for almost 2 months now and its been perfect and I have saved so much money from owning my own box. I was paying 7.00 a month from TWC in rental fees this box was about $50.00. I also was able to save 20.00 a mth on my T-Mobile bill. I don’t need the unlimited phone and data. So now I only pay 30.00 for 1500 minutes and use all the data I need with my Wireless at home. Amazing how just owning my own box could save me $324.00 a year. WOW in 3 years that’s over 1,0000 cash !!

I recently got Time Warner Cable with 15 Mbps speed. I am returning the modem I recieved from TWC and save the $5.99 a month…having TWC activate was very easy….

This particular Modem is the same one that is used by Time Warner. Now I no longer have Time Warner so I don’t have a use for it any more but it worked well at the time.

No problems with the device. It wasn’t so simple to make it work with my internet provider – they had to do some things on their end for me to be able to change from their modem to my modem. Also, I was ignorant when talking to them. They asked for my MAC address. There are two. (CMAC and WAN MAC) I gave them the wrong one, and it took forever for them (and me) to figure that out.

I bought this router because WOW service was charging $10.99 for theirs. It works same as they provide me first.

I gave 5 stars just for customer support even though I had to return this modem. The modem was fine, unfortunately Time Warner Cable disables the wifi when you don’t lease it from them. If you were thinking you could save money by purchasing your own modem you will be dissappointed. There are alternatives. The shipping and customer service from these guys (not TWC) was great.

Works fine. Bought it to replace buckeye cable monthly internet fee. It will pay for itself shortly. Buckeye offers the same modem for purchase for $150.

Works like a charm! I called TWC and gave them the necessary info and within 15 mins I was up and running. I had previously been renting this exact model from TWC for a few years and finally decided to buy one vs rent it. I expect it to last me a while and I would suggest everyone to buy their own modem. I would buy this again.

So I bought this to work with Time Warner and after a great deal of waiting and being on hold and waiting I talked to a very nice guy in Ohio that finally was able to get this box to work with their system. So they do work together but be prepared to have a bit of a struggle to get it set up.

I’m one of those hard headed people that wanted to find out for myself if the wifi would work. Nope. I have TWC but I don’t think that was the problem. The wifi didn’t light up period.
However the internet did work. Go figure.

perfect resonance for the entire house

Works.
Doug Muchow –
Works as good as the local internet’s rented unit.

Contacted internet provider to assist with install and serial numbers and passwords were not applicable to the unit I received. It was confusing as to how the serial numbers on the manufactures box matched the serial numbers on the unit, but the internal cards were not a match. Frontier says this probably happened at the assembly line. Frontier was not able to assist in getting the unit compatable albeit this modem is on their approved list.

Have had this again, since 2015. Have had no issues at all. Good working condition still

For buckeye cable in Ohio area this was a perfect fit.
